It's been so long since I've updated this blog.... Let me start by telling you our life is simply wonderful. Sawyer and Sophia keep us busy but I don't mind it one bit! They both have 2 bottom teeth. Sophia said her first word the day after Thanksgiving, it was Momma - Sawyer said his first word 15 minutes later, it was Dadda. Both of them are crawling all over the place!! The eat a lot of what we eat and we make everything else for them. I tried the baby food route but did not find a lot of variety. I'm still pumping, call me crazy!!!!! I've vowed to stop on their 1st birthday. Can I continue, I sure hope so!!!! We are very blessed neither one of them have ever been sick, that is probably why I keep pumping!!! Kelsa is an awesome big sister, she helps us a lot! Both are sleeping in their own bed and generally go to bed at 8:30! Of course, they are both still on a schedule and stick to it every single day!!!! They are individuals there is no doubt! Sophia is very independent and tries her best to be in charge of her brother. He loves music so much, you can find him dancing anytime you turn the music on. They are both adorable and the light of my life.... I can't imagine my life without them... I am blessed!!! More to come.... I promise!!!!!

They both are still breastfeeding and we introduced cereal into their diets. Sophia weighs just under 12 pounds and big boy is 13 pounds!! They are the most amazing little people!

I know I've been very bad at updating our blog but trust me I've been busy!!! The last 12 weeks have been amazing and wonderful. Both twins are still breastfeeding and both are sleeping on average 5 hours at night! WOO HOO! 5 hours is huge compared to what we have been living on! We are blessed beyond blessed; they are the most precious babies on the planet. I promise to update with better pictures soon.

Already 6 weeks old!
Sophia and Sawyer are doing great. I can't believe they are already 6 weeks old. They still eat every 4 hours and are up to 4 ounces at each feeding. They are doing very well on their schedule and are very happy babies. We feel very blessed!
Breastfeeding is still going well and I am able to produce about 90% of their supply, the rest we supplement with formula.
Sophia takes after her Mother with all of her energy and Sawyer is pretty laid back like his Daddy. If we could get them to sleep longer at night we would have no complaints! The lack of sleep is the hardest part....... Sophia weighs 6 lbs 10 ounces and Sawyer is up to 6 lbs 4 ounces, they are feeling like regular sized babies now.
Thank you all for your continued prayers and support.

1 month old!!!
1 month already, what an awesome month it's been. I'll tell you they grow every single day!! We are still breastfeeding and that is going well, I'm still able to provide about 90% of their daily supply. I will say that breastfeeding is a HUGE job and I give huge props to those that have been able to do it! Between feeding, pumping, and changing it leaves little time for sleep! However, it's worth every bit, these babies are amazing and make us smile every single day!!

Twins are 3 weeks!
It's been the most amazing 3 weeks of our lives! I will tell you, the stay in the NICU seems like so long ago! Sophia and Sawyer have been home almost 2 weeks and we have enjoyed every single second. They are doing wonderful! Sophia weighs in at 5lbs 1 ounce and Sawyer weighs 4 lbs 10 ounces. They eat every 4 hours and are pretty much on the same schedule. I am able to provide them with 90% breast milk and then I have to supplement with 10% formula, I keep hoping my body will catch up!
They are truly the biggest blessing in the world!

33 1/2 week update!!
We are still holding strong and doing wonderful... The babies are growing. Baby girl weighs in at 3 lbs 15 ounces, Baby boy weighs in at 4 lbs 7 ounces. Dr. Nilson is still very concerned about baby girl. Yesterday he guessed we would have these babies within the next 2 weeks. He said baby girl will determine when they will arrive. She must take after her Mom in a hurry all the time and ready to be born! We are hoping to put some additional weight on her before she makes her debut into this world.
Bed rest is still bed rest... it's not fun but it's better me here than them in the NICU. Richard is taking AWESOME care of me and he almost has the nursery finished. I hope to post nursery pictures soon.
Thank you all for your continued support and prayers!!!

Things are staying the same which is a great thing! Cervix is still funneling and open. Baby girl's fluid is still low but not getting lower! Baby boy measures 3 lbs 1 ounce and Baby girl weighs 2 lbs 13 ounces. I continue the bed rest and continue to cook these little babies as long as I can!!!
Thank you all for your continued prayers - they are working!!!

28 1/2 weeks!! We made it!

We can take a deep breath now, we passed the 28 week mark. The babies now have a 92% chance of survival. Our new goal is 32 weeks!! I know we can make it! This week at our weekly appointment baby girls amniotic fluid was low, this means I continue to rest and continue to drink more water!!! Everything with my cervix is status quo, so this means the bed rest is working! I also had my gestational diabetes test and this test came back negative! WOO HOO!!!
I still continue to feel absolutely wonderful and I feel very fortunate to have made it this far. We are still trying to decide on baby boys name, hopefully this is something we can figure out soon.

Weekly Update!
We visited Dr. N today. He said everything is status quo, said we are looking perfect and we are counting down to 28 weeks. He also said baby girl will be a small baby but she will be just fine. I felt great after our checkup today!! One week at a time... The prayers are working!!!

26 1/2 week update and belly pic!!
Our weekly appointment went OK. I've been on full bed rest for one week!!!! I'm already going crazy but this will all be worth it in the end!!!!
I am dilated, my cervix is open BUT it's still measuring the same as last week so that is a great thing. He is also now concerned about baby girl. Her stomach is measuring small. He said if I was not on bed rest for my cervix I would be on bed rest for her condition now. He said there could be several reasons for this, we will watch her more closely from week to week.
Bed rest is going alright. The hardest part about all of this is being dependent on other people and not being in control! Ha - everyone knows this will teach me lots of patience!!! He said to continue what I am doing and he will see me next Monday. He also did an FET test checking to see if I would be going into labor soon, this test came back negative. WOO HOO, I was excited to get that call!!! He said I was having contractions while he was checking me, I could not feel anything – so bizarre that I could not feel anything!! Right now we are just trying to get to week 28, I know the babies have a better chance at week 28! One week at a time is all we can do.
I am very thankful that we are stable; he said I am doing the best thing for them – stay on my backside!! We can use prayers for these babies right now.
Richard is doing a fantastic job taking care of me and his babies!!! He has a full job right now with me! Trust me I am taking it easy on him....
I'll update next Monday after our appointment. Right now I better finish my registry and start ordering stuff online! :) Thank goodness I have a computer, this is my outlet!!
Feeling these babies inside me everyday is a wonderful thing, I can't even put on paper how happy this makes my heart..... This is all worth it!!!
