26 1/2 week update and belly pic!!

Our weekly appointment went OK. I've been on full bed rest for one week!!!! I'm already going crazy but this will all be worth it in the end!!!!

I am dilated, my cervix is open BUT it's still measuring the same as last week so that is a great thing. He is also now concerned about baby girl. Her stomach is measuring small. He said if I was not on bed rest for my cervix I would be on bed rest for her condition now. He said there could be several reasons for this, we will watch her more closely from week to week.

Bed rest is going alright. The hardest part about all of this is being dependent on other people and not being in control! Ha - everyone knows this will teach me lots of patience!!! He said to continue what I am doing and he will see me next Monday. He also did an FET test checking to see if I would be going into labor soon, this test came back negative. WOO HOO, I was excited to get that call!!! He said I was having contractions while he was checking me, I could not feel anything – so bizarre that I could not feel anything!! Right now we are just trying to get to week 28, I know the babies have a better chance at week 28! One week at a time is all we can do.

I am very thankful that we are stable; he said I am doing the best thing for them – stay on my backside!! We can use prayers for these babies right now.

Richard is doing a fantastic job taking care of me and his babies!!! He has a full job right now with me! Trust me I am taking it easy on him....

I'll update next Monday after our appointment. Right now I better finish my registry and start ordering stuff online! :) Thank goodness I have a computer, this is my outlet!!

Feeling these babies inside me everyday is a wonderful thing, I can't even put on paper how happy this makes my heart..... This is all worth it!!!

25 week update!

We had a doctor’s appointment this week……. They started me on progesterone shots last night because I am having contractions and they are calling this pre term labor. My cervix is shorting and funneling to a 2.9 which is not good…. Dr. Nilson told me to take it easy and rest but is allowing me to continue to work until Monday. The progesterone is supposed to stop contractions and then he will recheck us on Monday. He will then decide on what is next. Of course I googled funneling short cervix and have been scared to death ever since….. I know this is in God’s hands and I know he will take good care of us, I just worry, of course. I will update you all on Monday. Thank you for your continued prayers and support during this time.

22 1/2 Weeks!!

Can you believe we have two babies in there and we are almost 6 months!?! Every single night I lather up with lotion and each day I am drinking tons of water! We went to our Level II scan and found out the babies are around 1 pound each and everything with them is perfect!!! We were able to see each and every organ working, it was the neatest thing!!!! We are blessed and we are very excited! Our prayer is that they make it to 5 pounds each before they are born so that they have a better chance of avoiding the NICU. My cervix was closed up last appointment; Dr. Nilson said things looked perfect. I am trying to rest as much as possible…..I am starting to feel movement every single day in my belly. I am blessed beyond blessed there is no doubt!!!!

22 weeks blessed!!

The day after Thanksgiving we went to The Philbrook Museum here in Tulsa, I thought I would share a picture of the babies and my wonderful husband!!!!

The Nursery Mural

We finally finished the nursery mural. We hired the sweetest artist in the world to paint this piece of work and we think she did a fantastic job!

We thought we would share these pictures. We decided to make the tree a family tree, all three names of Richard's previous children are on the tree. We will add the twins names to the two branches on the right.

Let the decorating begin!!!!!
